if you're reading this...

...then you HAVE to comment. {and I have one of those "traffic feed" things on here, so don't try anything sneaky}

This morning I changed my Christmas countdown blocks to 26! YAY!!!
I am getting so So SO excited! Our Christmas cards have arrived, Brock is done classes on Friday, we're going to a Christmas party on Saturday and sometime soon we're going to take Trey to see Santa! All wonderful things....the only thing I am stressing about is the fact I haven't bought ANY Christmas presents! I need ideas.
I have sat down and tried to have a few "brainstorming" sessions...aaaaand- nothing. I blame pregnancy brain.

I need some ideas for Brock, and my parents. And our family's "Christmas name exchanges" gave us: my 16 year old sister, my 13 year old sister, Brock's younger sister and her husband, my sister's husband and my parents.

I haven't ever been one to get all my gift's together before December 1st because I am usually pretty good with coming up with things- but I guess I should have started sooner this year...I do have some DIY ideas, but I maybe should have started those a couple months ago- darn.

Please share any {and all} ideas you come up with :)
HELP MEEEEEEEE!

Metal prints from www.prodigitalphotos.com they look amazing in person and it's something different then a picture in a frame. It's more like a piece of art work. We did this for our parents of our son.

We got my sister cake decorating stuff like food coloring and a book because she love to make cakes. Books are always good gifts!! We got Michael's brothers Blue Rays of their new favourites...Being at my moms a lot made me realize how junky and old her kitchen stuff is so I got her some cutting boards and new mixing bowls. We got some framed photos of Ty for all our parents as well. And I'm getting some scentsy stuff for family and friends. Hope this gives a few ideas!!!

I'm doing a Christmas Care Package for some of our family members this year. I'm going to fill a bowl or basket with a $5 Christmas movie (or a Christ DVD for our non-member family, tehehe!), packets of hot chocolate, marshmallows, a homemade Christmas ornament, Christmas flavored soap, and a few other knick knacks. Should be cute and cheap! Hope that helps!

My dad's a big root beer buff so last year he got a collection of six different root beers in glass bottles collected from various grocery stores/health stores. He loved it!
There's that "box of pre-paid dates" idea that's been floating around pinterest for the Hubby.
Little "Brag Books" with photos are awesome for grandparents if you can collect a bunch of pictures from everyone.
Jewelery holders (using picture frames, etc.) are great for teenage girls and there's CUTE tutorials for those all over the internet.
I'm making cute aprons and decorating cheap dishes with a paint pen this year for close friends.

I totally have homemade gifts on the brain this year, sorry!

Hmmm...I don't know if I am much help as pregnancy brain has definitely hit me! I made taco casserole the other day and forgot to add the taco seasoning...so it was more just like a hamburger mush.
I say look to Pinterest.

Ideas off the top of my head....

Brock's sister and brother-in-law: slow cooker recipe book.

Teenage sisters: jewelry holders via Pinterest and some cute earings/bracelets/necklaces from Claire's (or wherever)

Parents: something you can do as a family (a new board game, a favourite family movie, ingredients for a fancy dessert)

Trey: I don't know much about gifts for kids, or how old he is, but maybe some toy cars? I've seen on Pinterest how someone made their own car mat (the map that you can drive your toy cars around on). That would be DIY and fun.

Husband: I like the date ideas that someone else mentioned. Otherwise, I'd go with something that reminds you both of a favourite memory or date.

I know that's a lot. Hope it helps!

http://www.teambuy.ca/edmonton/28135146/ what husband doesn't want this. At my uncles store in Lethbridge (Keystone Books) there is the book "The Mansion" it is one that President Monson reads every year. I might get that for my mother in law but it would be great for anyone. Who doesn't love a good Christmas story. I am a huge fan of games. We love the card game five crowns. My sister likes Sequence at you can play it with 8 people. Gift cards are always easy, but kinda lame. There is a nice three generation willow tree figurine, I would love to get that for my Mom. I just looked at Willow trees figurines so they are on my mind, there is a father one too I love. Now give me ideas for my parents 35th anniversary.

Good luck

Hi - I'm Amber. We have mutual friends but we've never met. Anyways just thought I would introduce myself since I'm stalking your blog!

I agree with Nikki - games are always a good idea. For Christmas this year we're giving family our favourite card games, board games, homemade chocolates and basically anything that is thoughtful and inexpensive...we're poor students.

I suggest Monopoly Deal (a card game) to everyone!! It is a blast to play, just with two people or with more! Good luck!

We discovered a fun and easy game to play this year. It's called Monopoly Deal. It's a fun card games that doesn't take long to learn or get through a round. We're planning to get this as a family present for my in-laws and my family. You can get it at Toys R' Us for like $8.
