boxes.

For the 6th (6th...?!) time in about 2.5 years we are packing up and moving! I realized today that I have moved more in the past 3 years then the 21 previous. Sounds really fun right?...

Right now our apartment is filled with boxes, and boxes and boxes...some full, but most empty. I'm working on it. (well I was working on it, but I needed a break, hence the post) Trey has been my packing assistant. This morning I had him crawl under our bed to get something my belly was stopping me from reaching- what a good little helper!

Speaking of helpers- my sister and her husband are coming on Thursday {with my Dad's truck} to help us...and friday just happens to be my birthday- so it's going to be a moving party! I'm excited.

my boys.

Watching Brock and Trey play together is the sweetest thing.
Their favorites are wrestling, playing cars and trains, chasing each other, playing with dinosaurs, and playing catch.
Yesterday I was in the kitchen making dinner and I could hear them playing in Trey's room.

Brock: Oh no, the dogs are running away, hurry put them back on the choo choo!
Trey: Oh no no no no!
Brock: The choo choo is leaving for China, come on dogs
Trey: Dog dog dog. Dada choo choo?
Brock: Yep, here we go!
Brock and Trey: Ahhhhhhhhh!

It went on like this for about 20 minutes before it was time to eat, and my cheeks started to hurt before I realized I had a "you can see all of the teeth in mouth" smile plastered on my face.
I love my two boys!

the final countdown.

7 days until Brock's birthday.
2 weeks until we get possession of our new place!
16 teeth in Trey's mouth.
15 days until my birthday.
2 trips to the grocery store for milk {neither of which I remembered}
9 weeks until my due date
my energy level- 0 {what do you say when a complete stranger says, "you look really tired..."}

I'm so excited we found a new place- but our tradition of moving when I am 8 months pregnant is not one of my favorites...baby please, please, pleeeease be late!

31 weeks! I tried to show my face in this one to make it more exciting :)

buzzzzz

Well, I finally bit the bullet and gave this little man a buzz cut.
His hair is so thick, and as much as I love{d} running my fingers through it, having to cut it 3 times a month I didn't love.

I thought I was ready for it, but once the hair started to fall I started to cry and get mad at Brock for "convincing" me to do it. Trey however was a great sport about it all, the clippers and hair tickled him, and when he saw the pile of hair on the floor he just kept pointing to it saying "uh oh Momma!"

I think I'm used to it now- he just looks so grown up {and so much more like Brock!}

Trey's day.

Trey is the sweetest little boy. I'm sorry, but I just have to gush. He is always so happy and playful. A kiss or cuddle from this little man fills my heart right to it's brim. I just love everything about him so much.

Something we want to do with our kids is have "dates", a chance for some one on one time with Mom or Dad {or both!} where they get to feel extra special! So we planned an afternoon to do Trey's favorite things! It (and everyday) was full of moments that made me feel so full of love for this boy, and the fact that I get to be his Momma.

We started with a Trip to the Zoo. We fed miniature horses, growled at the bears, watched the lion cubs play, and barked at the wolves.

Next up was the pet store. Trey and I go to the pet store a few times a week, he could spend all day in there. He loves to watch the "sishies" {fish} and this time he even managed to stick his little hand into a tank when we weren't watching!

Then we headed to the dollar store to pick out some new toys, that's right any toy in the whole place...we're great parents like that :) We could barely keep him in our sight, he was running around that place like a mad man! He kept that dinosaur hat on almost the whole time we were in there, I loved it.

And last {but most definitely not least} we went out to eat, and Trey got to color {and throw his crayons on the floor and laugh as Dad picked them up every. single. time.}and have his all time favorite meal- Salmon and rice!

It was a wonderful day.
Trey, we love you more than words can say.
