crafty?...

I use the line, "I could eeeeeeasily make that!" a lot.

{It's actually become a bit of a joke between Brock and I...example: after Trey and I flew back to Alberta, and I realized how FAST it is I said I wish we had an airplane...and Brock chimes in, "I could

eeeeasily make that!"-whatever!} 

I see things I think are cute and I feel like I could make it for less then the price tag...usually. I will admit, I am pretty sure a couple of these projects have ended up being a bit, or a lot, more...but most of the time I can somewhat replicate it for WAY less!

So the other day I was in this adorable baby boutique and saw the cutest mobiles! Checked the tag...yep, $80! Ouch! So I decided I would attempt to make one...

Sometimes I like to think I am "crafty" but other times I feel like it is more on the "crappy" end...

this one I am not too sure?...BUT it was a lot less then $80!

{clothes hanger- free! buttons-1 lbs bag for $3 from Walmart! Thread- had it...so free! Paper- $10 for a 50 page book of cardstock from Winners!}

It probably doesn't look like it but I spent like 5 hours on this thing, I got a little bit crazy trying to make a good bird shape and Brock thought it was funny when he said, "Um, Amy...are you sewing paper?"...

At least I can imagine Trey likes it...he doesn't cry when he looks at it, 

so that must mean something good right??

sunshine and six months

Well, we are all back together in Saskatoon, and the sun is shining- that's right, SHINING! It never gets old how ah-mazing the warm sun feels after a cold loooong winter...I forgot Saskatoon had grass! I love being able to go outside without a coat {and without the risk of getting frostbite}, and even crack open a window or two! And now that we have a little balcony we were looking into getting
a BBQ- now THAT'S a party!

Brock is D.O.N.E. for the semester {well...he still has his spanish final...but we don't count that} and he has a couple weeks off before the spring semester starts sOo we have a little mini-vaca planned...a fancy hotel in Edmonton and a couple of fun little things to do as a family {I may have a little folder with reservations and plans in it...dorky, I know.}...this is Trey's first "official vacation" people! We're excited :)

Speaking of Trey....he is SIX AND A HALF months?! Holy. Cow. 

We are laughing at him all day, he definitely has a little big personality! He says "dadadadada" ALL day long- so sweet! He "blows"? his lips...you know what that means right?...sounds like pffffff...and if you put your finger to his lips and take it on and off fast he goes "ahhhh", cause that sounds cool!
Okay, so maybe I am not the best at describing his new tricks.

He weighed in at 17.5 lbs and ....I don't remember how long, but it was in the 50th percentile...

I feel like my baby is becoming a little boy!

Trey and I have been gone one WHOLE week
from our little home in Saskatoon, away from Brock :( ...only 2 more sleeps!
(that may not seem like long,but it is the longest we have EVER, like, since-the-day-we-met, ever, been away from each other) so, to say "I miss him SO much!" is an understatement!

We flew to Calgary last monday, best $100 I ever spent, the flight is literally

35 mins, Trey did great on his first plane ride,

and I did pretty good too, considering my track record.

Brock's sister is getting married THIS Saturday! So I came to (try to)
help out getting everything ready. Truth be told, I basically just been
partying it up with my sisters-in-law (I LOVE THEM!) and
Trey has been getting kissed and played with non-stop! Also Brock has
had some good time to be able to concentrate on studying for his
finals...for some reason Trey and I have proved to be a little bit of a distraction...

in other news..Trey is officially 6 MONTHS OLD!+one week. (holy smokes!)

he is sitting he is smiling and laughing...all the time

he is sleeping 12 hours straight at night (heavenly...)

he has "cut" his bottom centrals

he LOVES loves LOOOVES to eat!

he is getting cuter and cuter every day!
